Directing

One of my proudest achievements in directing is the short film ‘Your Secret Weapon.’ It was created for the UN International Day of Peace. It garnered an unprecedented 3.5 million views, making it a remarkable success for The Prem Rawat Foundation. The film screened in select theaters and is now a part of Prem Rawat’s Peace Education Program, taught in 40 languages and 80 countries.

Recent work includes directing Corey Burton, the renowned voice actor behind characters like Captain Hook and Count Dooku, for multiple El Rey Network on-air promos.

I co-directed a live-action/3D animated short featuring Howie Mandel, which screened in RealD at a Paramount gala.

In the documentary field, I have had the privilege of filming in 19 different countries and 14 states. I filmed ‘Caroline’s Dream,’ a documentary feature about healing from the effects of war, and also filmed for ‘Fierce Traveler,’ an adventure reality show in Bali. Additionally, I have filmed interviews with notable figures such as health guru Dr. Andrew Weil and Ray Charles’ engineer Al Schmitt. Currently, I am co-producing a rock history documentary about my late father, Roger Nichols, who was the engineer for Steely Dan and a producer for John Denver.

In college, I worked as a photographer at Disney World and studied at the University of Central Florida, where I earned a Film BFA (with a focus on directing). During my time there, I was honored to receive the prestigious Panavision/Kodak 35mm Capstone Grant.

I sincerely enjoyed capturing this moment in time of Matt Brookens and our daughter Scarlett being her wonderful self in this short film ‘Renaissance Dad‘
